Eligibility Criteria
If a student meets any of the following, they're eligible to receive a scholarship (subject to the availability of funds).
A key component of this program is that once a student receives an Education Tax Credit scholarship their future eligibility remains intact until they leave the private school setting, graduate from high school or turn 20 years of age. So, it's important that students receive a scholarship when eligible so they can essentially "lock-in" their eligibility for future years.
As a part of the scholarship process, parents must to provide a copy of the first page from their most recently filed Federal tax return to verify their Adjusted Gross Income (AGI). This is required by Georgia state law to evaluate financial need. While there is no income limit cutoff to receive a scholarship, it is a requirement to consider the financial need of applicants based on their AGI when making award determinations.
